Step 1: Expand your understanding of the learning process

The first step required to expand the scope of the training organization, during harsh economic times, is to increase the understanding of when learning takes place. Training professionals typically interpret learning as a formal process that occurs at an appointed time; a 3 hour class that happens on Tuesday at 3 PM, a 30 minute e-Learning course that must be completed by Friday, a 45 minute webinar that will run tomorrow at 10 AM.
